Inside the MPOS Cambodia: Dish Management Feature

Managing a high-volume kitchen in places like Riverside or Sen Sok requires more than just good cooking; it requires a digital backbone. The Dish Management module in MPOS Cambodia is the central hub where menu items, pricing, and kitchen instructions live.

Multi-Level Categorization

A messy menu leads to slow service. MPOS allows you to organize your offerings into a clean, searchable hierarchy:

  • Main Categories: (e.g., Appetizers, Main Course, Drinks).
  • Items : (e.g., Under “Drinks,” you can have Coffee, Fresh Juice, and Craft Beer).
  • Khmer, English & Chinese Support: Essential for Phnom Penh’s diverse clientele, allowing staff to toggle between languages instantly to avoid order errors.
Dynamic Modifier

The real power of dish management lies in the “extras.”

Modifiers: Easily add options like “Extra Spicy,” “No MSG,” or “Ice Level: 50%” to any dish. These modifiers pop up automatically for the server on their handheld device

    Real-Time Dish Status

Nothing frustrates a customer more than ordering a dish only to be told 10 minutes later that it’s sold out.

      • The “Sold Out” Toggle: With one tap on the MPOS manager app, a dish can be marked as “Out of Stock.”
      • Automatic Sync: This instantly updates the digital menu on every server’s handheld device and even on the Scan-to-Order QR menus on the tables, preventing unavailable items from being ordered.
      Recipe Linkage & Inventory Tracking

Every time a dish is sold, your stock should move.

        • Ingredient Deduction: MPOS allows you to link a “Dish” to its “Ingredients.” For example, selling one Beef Lok Lak automatically deducts 200g of beef and 1 egg from your inventory.
        • COGS Analysis: By entering the cost of each ingredient, the system calculates the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for every dish, helping you identify which items are your “Stars” (high profit) and which are your “Dogs” (low profit).
        Partitioned Kitchen Printing

Efficient dish management means the right information goes to the right person.

          • Station Routing: You can configure the system so that when a “Steak & Red Wine” order is placed, the steak instruction prints at the Kitchen Station, while the wine instruction prints at the Bar Station.

The Dish Management feature of the MPOS SYSTEM in Cambodia is about more than just listing food; it’s about controlling your costs and streamlining your communication. When your menu is managed digitally, your kitchen can focus on what it does best: cooking.
